In early June 2023, Aurore dreamt of this weave.
Aurore dreamt she'd be displayed in public places, bright and bold and colourful, uplifting all who set eyes on her. This riot of texture and colour. She dreamt she'd be commissioned to make her over and over again, both in her original colours, but also in neutral tones, dramatically dark and using brand colours.
She'd grace the walls of hotel lobbies, office receptions, building lobbies and homes.
And so, the following day, Aurore sat down in her garden and didn't stop weaving until she'd finished the very first Beautiful Disaster weave. It was an outpouring stream of creative consciousness that had to be set free. Dopamine art, created out of joy and light and a desire to gaze upon something that brings instant energy to your day.
She's stunning. You can bury your hands in there (spoiler alert, this happens...a lot). She's this bold alchemy of colour, inspired by layers of paint, dripping down your wall, the colours flowing over each other. Packed full of merino wool with a sprinkling of sari silk yarn, the colours have incredible luster and shine.
She makes a statement! Picture her giving you confidence and inspiration everyday in your office, being a standout statement on a blank wall, shouting "don't you dare walk past me without stopping to look at me, to touch me", acting as a bright and colourful contrast against a darker back drop. Colour has such power over your mood, and this baby packs a punch!
Grab her while you can - or get in touch for a recreation in colours that work for you.
