Tide Pools Woven Wall Hanging

Tide Pools - Inspired by the rocky harbour walls of Howth Harbour and the rocky beaches and Martello Towers of North County Dublin.  The fibres have been woven and painted together in flowing lines in shades of grey with pops of lime stretching high to meet the sky.

This woven wall hanging has been created using a variety of natural fibres, including wool, cotton frizz, bamboo, cotton, and hand spun art yarn by Aurore.  The fibres and subtle colours are blended together in a fibre painting and the result is a stunning piece of tactile art, with pops of texture.  The piece is mounted on a piece of foraged wood. 

This slowly woven piece is a legacy piece of textile art.  Don't take her home because you're following a trend, take her home because she makes your soul sing, you simply must look at her on a daily basis.
